This is the Sleeping Sphynx in its rawest form. Slip-cast, kiln-fired to cone 04–06, and left unpainted. The matte bisque finish has its own quiet beauty: warm, sculptural, and at home on any shelf. If you want it exactly as it arrives, that's a complete choice. If you want to make it your own, the surface takes acrylic paint, glaze, or decorative finishes beautifully.
The base includes an opening for ashes, so it functions as a true urn while remaining a sculptural object worth displaying.
Each piece is hand-cleaned and inspected before firing. No two are identical.
If painting with acrylics, a light coat of gesso first will help your design adhere and last.
